Maketick Partnered with BDT june 25, 2008
Maketick is now working with BDT (Bihar Development Trust), one of the leading non-profit organizations in India. These two organizations will be working to give the underprivileged artisans living in various parts of Bihar and the outskirts a decent livelihood. This artisans group would mostly incorporate the 'tasar' silk weavers who scarcely make a living on their production. Maketick will provide a platform for these weavers to get access to the international market thereby, improve their economic and living conditions.
Maketick will also help these artisan groups design and develop new products with the assistance eminent designers from all over the world. Maketick would improve the supply chain by helping the artisan groups improve the quality of their products and ensure timeliness of delivery.

Maketick has extended its effort to support the artisan groups on the global forefront. ASHA-The Livelihood Programme for Millions created for the underprivileged artisans has now appealed for funds to American Expresses. BDT has been sanctioned a fund of ten lakhs for a project August 25,2008
BDT has got a funding of Ten Lakh rupees for its project by Baxis. The organization has already started working with 25 artisans on the local front. The thinkers at BDT are highly positive about the outcome of their effort.
